Why the Netflix’s The World’s Most Amazing Vacation Rentals Can Reset Your Travel Bucket List and Goals!
While the world is recovering from a stubborn pandemic, most of us cannot wait to travel again. And that’s why the new show on the block, The World’s Most Amazing Vacation Rentals on Netflix, got us all excited. It makes us realize how much we missed travel and how we can’t wait to get back to it.
The show made its debut on June 18, 2021, and featured show hosts Megan Batoon, Luis D. Ortiz, one of the top real estate agents in the world, and travel expert and influencer Joanna Franco. Well, if anyone knows about travel, it’s them. The three of them showcase unique destinations and stunning vacation rentals worldwide while providing invaluable tips on real estate, travel, and design. Here are some unique places that we loved and can’t wait to go there ourselves.
Alpaca Treehouse, Atlanta, Georgia
One of the top features is the Alpaca Treehouse in Atlanta, Georgia is one of few properties in The World’s Most Amazing Vacation Rentals in the United States. Everything is unexpected and wonderful about the place, reminding us of our childhood. The house is in the middle of a bamboo forest. Although it is wild with alpacas and llamas walking around as you are eating your breakfast, yet it is not too off-limits from the city too. All the materials used to build the treehouse were recovered from the thrift stores. And that we think is a good example of sustainability.
Butterfly Camaya Bali, Bali, Indonesia
This place is straight out of a Balinese fairy tale. It was an amalgamation of the luxurious and the not-so-luxurious. It is incredibly stunning, juxtaposing man-made aesthetics and nature. We got to see beautiful acres of verdant land and with amazing bamboo architecture and gorgeous nature wherever you see.
Sitka Lighthouse, Sitka, Alaska
This had to be one of the most picturesque places the trio explored on the show. The travelers have the most refined culinary experiences over there. The hosts had fresh King Salmon delivered to the lighthouse to cook up a storm in the kitchen. A red and white lighthouse engulfed in fog can incite the dreams you nursed as a child like no other. The guests had a wonderful time over there spotting sea lions while soaking in a hot tub and jumping into bunk beds living their fairytale moment. It was all about soaking in the experience, and they did just that.
Hale ‘Ae Kai, Kauai, Hawaii
While Hawaii is in the common bucket list adventure of most people, most don’t know about the hidden treasures the beautiful island has to offer. Kauai’s Hale’ Ae Kai’ is one spot you would love to check out because it is one of the most luxurious places you could ever visit. The property remains one of the most wonderful experiences for the three as the balmy Hawaiin weather and the humongous rental property worked as a perfect combination.
From tucking into gourmet meals to watching the shooting stars lying down on the lush grass to marveling in the architectural splendor, there were very few things that did not floor the hosts. The outside property is as gorgeous as the inside, and although it costs you quite a bit, you have to spend $14,000 per head. The guest trio insists it is worth paying every penny you spend on that. And we agree! The last shot of the three standing at the edge of a cliff, the gorgeous building as a backdrop, and the blueness of the sky are breathtaking. The ocean engulfing you with all its beauty is sheer magnificence.
Quetzalcoatl’s Nest, Naucalpan de Juárez, Mexico
This unique place is in the Naucalpan de Juárez, Mexico. Quetzalcoatl’s Nest is a futuristic design that can stump any design enthusiast. Luis D. Ortiz insists it is not a place but an art form itself. Mexican architect Javier Senosiain, designed this structure and gave the entire building a serpentine feeling. From the entrance mimicking the mouth of a snake. Once inside the house, you may lose yourself in the weird yet wonderful beauty of the property. Wonderment fills you up as you spot acres and acres of perfectly manicured land all around you.
Well, after watching the show, all we could think is, we need to make a fresh bucket list as soon as possible! What do you think?
