Kendall Jenner BEATS Karlie Kloss, Chrissy Teigen as Highest Paid Model in 2018

The Kardashian-Jenner clan is unstoppable – from endorsements to billboards, to TV shows and even gossip sites, they are undeniably one of the loudest buzz-generating families of today. That’s not all, they also sweep social media even with just a single photo, so, there is no doubt they are becoming more and more influential. That being said, it is understandable that the members of the reality family are a constant on lists of who’s-who and richest of the rich.

Take for example Kylie Jenner, who, at 21, was poised to becoming the youngest self-made billionaire, thanks to her eponymous cosmetics business and for being a social media superstar. As if being a reality star is not lucrative enough, the makeup maven certainly knows what to do with her money: putting it into a business that she herself can sell.

The youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan is most definitely not the only one making her money in the biz. Big sis Kim Kardashian is also venturing on to the makeup business called KKW Beauty, and had since expanded to perfumes. It’s a no-brainer that the 38-year-old also belongs to the list of the highest paid women last year.

Kendall Jenner – $22.5 million

More than the two, one that is also reigning supreme is Kendall Jenner, the supermodel “It” girl that absolutely requires a double take. Perhaps, how she differs from her other sisters is that, she doesn’t actually run a business that makes money, albeit she has one clothing line with her younger sister obviously named Kendall + Kylie.

Kendall Jenner remained to be the highest paid model for two consecutive years

Despite not focusing on a business of her own, she managed to become Forbes’ highest paid model last year, raking in a whopping $22.5 million, besting other more established and well-known celebrity models in the fashion world. Yup, Kendall sits well at the top of the food (modelling) chain comfortably, after the second-placer, Karlie Kloss, only earned $13 million, or $9.5 million less than the queen.

In the scoring year June 2017 to June 2018, Kendall’s earning was only a meek 13 percent of the $166.5 million income of her younger sister Kylie. What’s interesting, however, is that the Victoria’s Secret model still managed to stay on top despite a short hiatus, so just imagine that if she had worked nonstop, the figure would have soared even higher.

Kendall decided to take a short break and explained she had been choosing where to appear and which works to take. Despite this, she came out strong, again, thanks to her sponsorships and partnerships with esteemed brands like Adidas, Calvin Klein, and Estee Lauder. This was actually her second time at the No. 1 spot, first snatching the throne from Gisele Bundchen in 2017.

Karlie Kloss – $13 million

Karlie Kloss is at the second spot after earning $13 million

To be fair, Kendall seemed to not care too much about money as in one interview, she said she valued the bonds and connections made over the earnings, although obviously, it wouldn’t hurt if her bank account is ballooning by the second anyway. As mentioned, eating her dust is former Victoria’s Secret Angel Kloss, who just got married to Joshua Kushner last year.

Chrissy Teigen, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley – $11.5 million

Trailing behind are Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model and cookbook author Chrissy Teigen and model-actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley who both received $11.5 million during the scoring period. The former’s wit as evident on social media has greatly helped her business and her “Lip Sync Battle” hosting job also raked in money. Huntington-Whiteley, meanwhile, focused on her Rose Inc.

Cara Delevingne, Gisele Bundchen – $10 million

Gisele Bundchen once held the spot as the top-earning model in the industry

Next are Cara Delevingne and Gisele Bundchen with $10 million each. The “Suicide Squad” actress had been getting more explorative into acting, although her last, “Valerian,” was a failure, only amassing $225.5 million from a $177.2 million budget. Fret not, she may gain even more with Amazon Prime Video show “Carnival Row.”

Gigi Hadid – $9.5 million; Bella Hadid, Joan Smalls – $8.5 million; Doutzen Kroes, $8 million

Kendall’s close pal, Gigi Hadid, also a Victoria’s Secret Angel, is at the seventh place with $9.5 million, while her sister, Bella Hadid, together with Joan Smalls, is following in closely with $8.5 million. Rounding off the top 10 is Doutzen Kroes with $8 million, who also took a break but managed to earn big bucks largely in part of contracts with Piaget and L’Oreal.
